Ms Roslyn McLeod OAM
Managing Director, Tour Hosts Pty Limited

Roslyn McLeod is the Managing Director and founder of Tour Hosts Pty Limited, which opened its first office in Sydney in 1973. With over 30 years of experience Roslyn’s significant contribution to the tourism industry has been recognised via multiple awards including the Federal Tourism Minister’s Special Award for outstanding contribution by an individual. In 1999 Roslyn received the highest form of appreciation when on Australia Day she was awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia by the Queen’s representative for contribution to inbound tourism.

Sonja Soderbom
Department Manager - DMC

Sonja has been working in the tourism and event industry for over 10 years with her industry experience starting at Tourism Australia in 1986 in London where she worked for 3 years co-ordinating Australia’s participation at European Trade Shows as well as training UK Travel Agents on Australia. Sonja joined Tour Hosts in 1999 in the conference division and now manages the destination management department. During her time with Tour Hosts Sonja has managed high profile programs in conjunction with major international events taking place in Australia such as the BHP Billiton Hospitality Program for the 2006 Commonwealth Games, the 2000 Olympics, and managing the Djuice syndicate for the World Volvo Ocean Race in Australia and New Zealand for the sailing crew, clients and staff for a duration of 2 months. She has extensive product knowledge and knows the processes and requirements involved to ensure a successful program for all clients ranging from 1 day to several months.

Rebecca Quilty
Senior Account Manager

Rebecca's experience in the tourism industry started with 3 years spent working at Murrays Coaches, handling group touring and transport logistics. This was followed by three years working in Seattle, USA for a Tour Wholesaler where Rebecca gained invaluable experience of the international tourism market. Rebecca’s experience with groups at Tour Hosts is extensive, with her most notable account being the Transport Manager of some 2600 guests over a 19 day period during the 2000 Olympic Gamess.

Tina Brown
Senior Account Manager

Tina has been with Tour Hosts since 2007 and has extensive operational experience in managing incentives, sporting events and conference tours programs. Prior to joining Tour Hosts Tina was partners with John Newcombe in a Sports Events based company and freelanced for MasterCard managing many of their hospitality programs and Global Board Meetings. Tina has managed programs at the World Cup Soccer in Tokyo and Berlin, British Open Golf in Scotland and the PGA Tournament in Hualalai Four Seasons to name a few. She has strong logistics experience having co-ordinated complex tours programs for the Asia Pacific Patent Attorneys meeting in Adelaide for 1500 delegates and The Transplantation Society Congress for 4000 delegates.

Dominica Meyer
Account Manager

Dominica joined Tour Hosts in 2004 providing Sponsorship and Exhibition services to clients around Australia, before transferring to the DMC department in early 2006. Prior to joining Tour Hosts, Dominica completed a Bachelor of Management in Tourism from the University of Technology Sydney (UTS) and did a one year marketing internship with the Business Tourism team at Tourism Australia. To date, Dominica has managed various programs for both small and also larger incentive groups in destinations including Port Douglas, The Whitsundays, Ayers Rock and Sydney. Dominica has also managed large tours programs for various international conferences around Australia.

Katie Puglisi
Account Manager

Katie joined the Tour Hosts team in November 2003 as a Conference Assistant, working her way up through the Conferencing Department, before moving across to the DMC department in April 2006. The management skills obtained during her years in Conferencing allows Katie to work closely with an array of clients on a variety of levels. Prior to joining Tour Hosts, Katie worked in the travel magazine industry as a creative and editorial assistant. To date, Katie has worked and managed a number of scientific programs, conference tours, hospitality and high end incentive programs. Clients to date include The Hansard Group, CIT Aerospace, Leading Multi-National Pharmaceutical and Insurance Companies and the Department of Education and Training.

Paul Boustani
Corporate & Special Events Manager

With a comprehensive background in both conference and corporate special events, Paul's focus is on meeting his client's event objectives using creativity, strong budget management and his in-depth knowledge of suppliers. Paul and his team continually produce a fantastic range of creative and special events ensuring the end result is a spectacular success. Paul has a true dedication and passion for the industry and delights in ensuring each and every client receives that all important "wow" factor.

Samantha Makary
Production Manager

Samantha joined Tour Hosts in 2003 with a background in audio visual, event design and managing large outdoor events. With her 14 years in the events industry her speciality is her creative concepts and being able to translate these into an image the clients can see. Samantha would state her highlight as the World Energy Congress Opening Ceremony where she developed and choreographed 6 different performance groups, matched to specially designed screen imagery and evolving projection on a spherical screen all perfectly timed to a specially produced music piece.

Florencia Jacovella
Account Executive

Florencia joined Tour Hosts in 2007 as a Project Coordinator after moving to Australia from her home town of Buenos Aires. Her industry experience started in 1994 where she began her career with the Foreign Office organizing official trips and events before working for a Luxury Medical Spa in Argentina and Brazil. She has been fortunate to have worked on various social programs for the International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA) in Argentina and this combined with her other positions has allowed her to gain extensive experience and knowledge in managing VIPs, high-end events and specialized media. Florencia brings to our DMC department a strong marketing background and together with her Italian, Spanish and Portuguese language skills will provide our clients with expertise on tailoring programs to strategic corporate objectives.

Nicole Fallon
Account Executive

Nicole joined Tour Hosts in 2003 working in Business Development and Conference Management before transferring to our DMC department in early 2007. With her conference management experience Nicole offers our DMC clients meticulous attention to detail and an extensive operations background. To date, Nicole has worked on conference programs for large international meetings such as the 10th International Myeloma Conference and the 11th Congress of the International Rhinologic Society.

Marina Koulas
Product Co-ordinator

Marina joined Tour Hosts in the Conference department before moving into our DMC team where she is currently co-ordinating and assisting in the management of some of the teams large incentive, conference tours programs and VIP clients. Prior to joining the company she worked in an events organisation with her prime responsibility being the designing and tailoring of conference and incentive programs with some of her clients being Amway, Electrolux, Bacardi, Westpac and Australia Post. She has extensive product knowledge of Australia and the South Pacific and has a creative flare offering a memorable experience to your guests whilst ensuring it keeps within your budget.

Alex Lipp
Account Co-ordinator

Alexandra joined Tour Hosts in January 2008 after studying 5 years Event Management and Business Tourism at the University of Angers in France. From work experience around France, she has a variety of experience in organizing corporate events and incentives for high-end European clients. Growing up in Africa, Spain, Canada, Germany and France, Alex has developed excellent language abilities which help with our international groups. To date, Alexandra has assisted the team on several major incentive programs and with her international experience and organisational skills has helped deliver personalised programs for happy clients.
